What we pour & build
Seven services, one crew, one standard: do it right the first time.
Stamped & Decorative Concrete
The look of natural slate, stone or wood plank — poured in one solid, sealed slab that stands up to coastal weather.
Regular Concrete Patios “Broom Finish”
Clean, level broom-finish patios for grilling, dining and relaxing — simple, strong and low-maintenance.
Concrete Driveways
Tear-out, grading and a reinforced pour that handles trucks, heat and heavy summer rain — with curb appeal to match.
Concrete Walkways & Steps
Front walks, side paths, porches and poured steps — safe, even and built to match your home.
Concrete Pool Decks
Slip-resistant, cooler-to-the-touch pool surrounds built for wet feet, chlorine, salt and Carolina sun.
Foundation Slabs
Reinforced, dead-level slabs for homes, additions, garages, sheds and workshops — the part you never see but everything sits on.
Concrete Replacement
Cracked, sunken or broken concrete torn out and hauled away — then poured new on a solid base so it lasts this time.
Your local concrete contractor — done right.

Not the cheapest bid. The one you won’t have to redo.
A cheap slab costs less on day one and more every year after — cracks, sinking, fading color. Here is what every MJ project includes that a low bid usually skips.
| Typical low bid | The MJ standard | |
|---|---|---|
| Base | Poured on whatever dirt is there | Excavated, graveled and compacted in lifts |
| Thickness | 3–3.5" to save material | 4" patios, 5–6" with rebar for heavy vehicles |
| Reinforcement | None, or fiber only | Wire mesh or rebar + fiber, sized to the load |
| Concrete mix | Cheapest available | 3,500–4,000 PSI, air-entrained for the coast |
| Control joints | Too few, or cut too late | Planned into the layout and cut the same day |
| Sealer | Optional or watered down | UV-stable sealer with anti-slip grit included |
| Supervision | Crew without the owner | Juan on every pour |
| Quote | One number, extras later | Line-item and in writing, no surprises |

Frequently asked questions
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. We visit your property, measure, talk through design options and leave you a written, line-item estimate at no cost. Most estimates in Wilmington are scheduled within the same week.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Leland, NC and serve Wilmington and all of New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties plus southern Onslow County, including Hampstead, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Southport, Oak Island, Shallotte, Winnabow, Castle Hayne, Ogden, Porters Neck, Rocky Point, Burgaw, Surf City and Holly Ridge.
How long does a concrete project take?
Most patios and driveways take 2–5 days from tear-out to finished pour, plus curing time. Stamped concrete is sealed after it cures. Weather can shift the schedule — we never pour into heavy rain.
Will my concrete crack?
All concrete can develop hairline cracks — it shrinks as it cures. We control that with a compacted base, the right reinforcement and properly spaced control joints, so any cracking happens in the joints where it is not visible.
